Arielle's next conversation was with Sarah Schwartz Evans is a CPS teacher, the wife of our editor JJ Evans, and a mother to a bi-racial child who has an interesting perspective on what it means to be "Black". Sarah was adopted into a multiracial family and raised in a small Indiana town. Her unique experience sparked a constant exploration of "blackness" in America.
Arielle is an award-winning documentary producer/director. She received a BFA from NYU’s Experimental Theatre Wing and studied directing and taught at Second City Theatre Chicago. She founded Legacy Connections Films in 2005 where she has directed and produced over 100 personal documentaries for clients. Arielle was included in The Independent Magazine's "10 to Watch in 2018" list.
