About the event

This screening is free and open to the public, however, it takes money to make films. That is why we are considering this final screening event of the year our public ask to you for financial support to continue our mission to raise consciousness about human rights through storytelling.

Please make a tax-deductible donation today to help us continue our work on these documentaries and to help us to be able to host free, public screenings throughout the coming years.

Filmed in Chicago, LA, & New Jersey in 2018, the second film in the Belonging series features the life stories of poet, political activist, and professor Alicia Partnoy and her filmmaker, activist husband Antonio Leiva both political refugees forced into exile after being imprisoned and tortured for their social justice work during Argentina's military dictatorship of the 1970s.

Their story is one of the triumph of the human spirit over circumstances, love over hate, and joy over oppression
