The San Francisco Black Film Festival

UPDATED! Check this out:

We were so proud to be invited to show The Story of Michael D. McCarty at the San Francisco Black Film Festival on June 15 & 16, for two screenings!

It was a whirlwind of a weekend - so many films, so many people coming and going - but with Michael by my side to present the film, our audience was laughing and excited from the get-go. The Minister of Information and SFBFF's publicist, JR Valrey, is also Michael's nephew, so it was fun talking with him and promoting our film with him via several channels.

Check out our mention in this San Francisco BayView Newspaper article and read more about the history and mission of the film festival here.
